  • Troubleshoot performance and technical problems on LANs
  • Evaluate and test client system modifications then install and configure system additions. Includes PC/Support to AS/400, Lan Manager & Novell workstation co-existence, and Remote LAN Node
1990 to 1992 - CROOKS MICHELL PEACOCK STEWART (QLD) PTY LIMITED
  • Design, implement, configure and maintain an inhouse network and upgrade from Novell Netware V2.15 RevC to Netware 386 V3.11. The network consisted of two 660MB file servers for all CAD, word processing and general engineering requirements supporting some 60 stations and over 150 users
  • Design, implement, configure and maintain back up strategies of the inhouse network using DAT tape technology
  • Maintain and modify the in house cabling plant which consists of a mixture of thick Ethernet, thin Ethernet and UTP
  • Integration of various application packages such as Word Perfect V5.1, Quattro Pro V3.0, Autocad Rel 11, Super Project V2, DBase IV, Magic, Space Gass V5.x, Lusas FEA, plus most popular memory managers and DOS V5
1990 - QANTEK (QANTAS Technology)
  • Develop LAN access standards, menu system and security standards using Novell Netware V2.15. The network consisted of 35 file servers on 28 Token Ring LANs with some 1500 stations using a variety of applications
  • Research, trial and recommend on PC to IBM host connectivity. Included LAN to LAN and LAN to IBM SNA environments
1989 to 1990 - CLEAR COMPUTER SERVICES
  • Responsible for a department of ten people providing client support services. Equipment supported included Novell Netware V2.12 and 2.15 running on Arcnet, Token Ring and Ethernet

1988 - SPECIALISED TECHNOLOGY GROUP (Intelligence Aust.)
  • Responsible for the set up of support facilities offered by the company. Experienced gained was primarily in Novell Netware V2.1, DOS V3.3, configuration and support of file servers, configuration of back up storage devices, debug of Dataflex Applications and the training of technical support personnel
